We are thrilled to have such a supportive group of parent volunteers at Greenfield. One aspect of volunteering is through our WATCH DOGS program (Dads of Great Students). The role of the WATCH DOGS are to provide students with positive male role models, so the “DOGS” can be fathers, step-fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, etc. Typically, WATCH DOGS volunteer to spend 1-3 days at our school during the months of October – April. The WATCH DOGS help in classrooms (including their child(ren)’s classroom(s), assist in the cafeteria, play outside with the students at recess, and many other tasks that tremendously help our teachers and staff. We had over 50 WATCH DOGS volunteer last year. We’d love to have even more this year. Our WATCH DOGS Kick-Off will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria. Come hear more about the WATCH DOGS program and sign up for your days to volunteer. Contact Mandy Gray at Mandy_Gray@ccpsnet.net or 804-560-2720 (x 4125) if you have any questions or you’d like to volunteer for our WATCH DOGS program.
